Hi June.
Thanks for the Whistle. It only took 30mins of training and Tess comes back to the whistle EVERY time, even when distracted by kids etc. She's great, totally loves a cuddle yet is superbly confident. She was not fazed one bit about meeting all the kids etc and loves (contributes to) the chaos of the Robson household. Here's a pic I took of her this morning. Just bought a book called "The Working Labrador" which is aimed a people who want their family pet to earn its keep from time to time, great book and loads of good reviews.
Cheers

Hi June.
Tess is coming on great, responding well to training and has a SUPERB nose, she can find a tennis ball buried in long grass from 50m on a blind retrieve, no problem. Just managed to persuade her into the water in the last few weeks, she was a wee bit scared but I started her off in puddles and within a week she was doing swimming retrieves. She loves it now especially on hot days.
Here’s a few photos takes over the last 2 months. Hope you like them. I’ll send more as she progresses. I’m toying with the idea of a little friend for her, have you any more litters due this year?
Cheers

Mathew says Hi!
July 07
Paul, Matthew and Matthew's granddad collected Ruby - a pal for Tess. I am delighted that Paul came back to us for a second dog. Though only 5 years old, Matthew has an amazingly confident way with pups and helps with training. It was especially nice to meet Paul's dad who often looks after Tess and who has had many years experience with dogs.
Hi June
Ruby is so comfortable with us that she slept the whole way back from your house yesterday and all the way back to Glasgow today. Another great traveller!
She's totally settled in now and is running about wagging her tail all the time.
She's going to meet Tess later, so I'll let you know how they get on and I'll send some photos of the two of them together.
We're all chuffed to bits with her, she's a wee cutie.
Cheers
Paul
